What Will Happen in Outlander Season 6, Episode 7?

If the teaser trailer is anything to go by, Outlander fans are in for a treat with Episode 7, titled "Sticks and Stones."

At the end of Episode 6, Malva Christie was found lying on the fields outside The Fraser's home with her throat cut. Despite Claire's efforts to save and save her unborn baby, Malva sadly died and the episode ended without revealing her killer's identity.

Fans, of course, already have their ideas about who might be Malva's murderer and for those who have read the Outlander novels by Diana Gabaldon and know the killer's identity, they cannot wait to see the drama play out on screen.

But first, Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) will find herself accused of Malva's murder at the hands of Malva's brother and father after she was found at the scene, knife in hand from gardening.

Malva's father Tom Christie (Mark Lewis Jones) is heard exclaiming: "Your wife stands before us up to her elbows in blood," before Malva's brother Allan (Alexander Vlahos) chimes in: "With a knife!"

After all, it would make sense to Tom and Allan Christie for Claire to be the killer.

Before Malva's death, she accused Jamie of being the father of her child, claiming they had an affair whilst Claire was on her deathbed. Of course, this is not true but gossip and rumors back then were often taken for gospel and it would have been very difficult for Claire to clear her name.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Young Ian (John Bell) is looking for the Beardsley's and Lizzie (Caitlin O' Ryan) seems a little too keen to know why Ian is on the lookout for the Beardsley brothers. Fans of the Outlander novels will know exactly why.

The synopsis for the episode also gives some clues as to what fans can expect in the next episode.

It reads: "Claire struggles with her demons as a nefarious rumor begins to spread on the Ridge. Tensions rise as the residents fear there is a dangerous person in their midst."

For the past six episodes, audiences have watched as Claire had terrifying hallucinations of Lionel Brown (Ned Dennehy) and his men coming after her, the same men who kidnapped and raped her in Season 5.

To deal with the trauma, Claire has been spotted using ether (a form of anesthetic) to numb the pain and Jamie has absolutely no idea.

Fans have been sharing the excitement for Episode 7 to see all of the drama unfold.

One fan tweeted: "OMG. Episode 6 did NOT disappoint. Loved @jesssreynolds_, and #CaitrionaBalfe and #SamHeughan were amazing as usual. Can't wait for episode 7!@Outlander_STARZ"

A second fan said: "Season 6 Episode 6 was just brilliant acting all around
@SamHeughan @caitrionambalfe @TallShipProds @Outlander_STARZ can't wait for episode 7."

A third fan added: "Did I just see what I saw!! Wow!! Outlander!!! To dream or not to dream...that is the question.....can't wait for episode 7!!"

Outlander Season 6 returns Sunday, April 24 on Starz.
