Karan Mehra arrested after wife Nisha Rawal files complaint against him following a brawl
Nisha Rawal filed a complaint against husband Karan Mehra at Goregaon police station following a brawl. A case has been registered against the actor, and he has been arrested.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Karan Mehra has been arrested by police after his wife and actress Nisha Rawal filed a complaint against him in Goregaon police station Monday night (May 31). The actress has filed the complaint against her husband following a brawl. Mumbai Police says that a case has been registered against the actor.
Karan Mehra is out on bail. Speaking about the whole incident, the actor said that Nisha has filed a false case against him. He said, "(Last night) I was talking to my mother over the phone when Nisha barged in and started hurling abuses at me, my parents, and my brother. She started shouting loudly and not only that Nisha even spat on me. When I asked Nisha to go out, she threatened me by saying 'see what I do now' and went out. She then smashed her head on the wall, and told everyone that I did it."
The rumours of trouble in Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal's marriage started doing the rounds earlier in May. However, in an exclusive conversation with Aajtak, Karan rubbished the rumours. He had said, “I have no clue what led to these rumours all of a sudden. I saw this news today only and I have been getting calls from everywhere. When Nisha got the news, she had also cleared it. Even after that, I don’t know how these rumours started spreading.”
Karan was shooting in Punjab for his show Mawaan Thandiyan Chawan when he had to return to Mumbai last month after a few crew members tested positive for Covid-19.
There were reports that Karan and Nisha were facing trouble in their marriage for a few months now. However, they were working on it. Karan was staying in Punjab for a while now busy shooting for his Punjabi show. Due to that, the couple was not able to spend much time together. They have a four-year-old son Kavish.
