Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns set a new record in the finals round with 29 points in the NBA All-Star MTN DEW three-point shooting contest.
Towns said he wanted to be known as the "best big man shooter" after the win.
"I needed this trophy to prove it," Towns said after the win, saying previously he was "not going to beat himself."
In the first round it was KAT, Luke Kennard and Trae Young who all scored the highest to advance to the second round.
Fred VanVleet, the Toronto Raptors guard who was involved in the contest, scored 16 points in the first round which was not enough to advance.
Brooklyn's Patty Mills, Chicago's Zach LaVine, Memphis' Desmond Bane, and New Orleans' CJ McCollum all also failed to advance.
