CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Remember when Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi got the high ground and defeated Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker in “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith” and thinking, “That’s it?”

Turns out, master and apprentice will meet again in the upcoming limited series “Obi-Wan Kenobi” on Disney+. Christensen’s return to the galaxy far, far away, revealed initially in December, was part of the full cast announcement issued Monday by the studio. The two adversaries will be joined by familiar faces Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse, who are reprising their prequel roles as Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.

New to the saga are some familiar actors, including Moses Ingram (“The Queen’s Gambit”), Sung Kang (“The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift”), Kumail Nanjiani (“The Big Sick”), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (“Straight Outta Compton”), Indira Varma (“Game of Thrones”) and Rupert Friend (“Homeland”).

The series, which is being directed by Deborah Chow, who helmed two episodes of “The Mandalorian” during its first season, takes place 10 years after the events of Episode III. That movie ended with Obi-Wan delivering baby Luke Skywalker to his family’s moisture farm on Tatooine and Anakin turning into Darth Vader.

Production on the show begins next month. No word yet it will premiere. The program is one of several new live-action “Star Wars” series coming to Disney’s streaming platform. “The Book of Boba Fett,” “Andor,” “Ahsoka,” “Rangers of the New Republic,” “Lando,” and “The Acolyte” are the others.
