Machine Gun Kelly paints tongue nasty black for Billboard Music Awards

Machine Gun Kelly stepped up his style with an unexpected — and gross — accessory for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.

The singer — born Colson Baker — painted his tongue black ahead of the awards show on Sunday night and documented the process via his Instagram story.

He captioned a video of the paint job, “special accessory for tonight @bbmas.”

Kelly, 31, took home the awards for Top Rock Album for “Tickets to My Downfall” at the awards ceremony.

He is also nominated for Top Rock Song for “my ex’s best friend” and Top Rock Artist.

It’s unclear why he felt the need to decorate his tongue, but he showed it off on the red carpet with girlfriend Megan Fox.

Perhaps he’s also celebrating with his necklace of Fox’s blood.

At least his new look isn’t nearly as painful as the gruesome red line tattoo that he got etched in April.

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards are airing live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
