It’s crazy how much can change in a year. Last season the Montreal Canadiens were in the Stanley Cup Finals, but now all they have to look forward to is the draft lottery. As an Oilers fan I know that feeling and it makes it tough for the rest of the season.
I would also think it would be hard for the players to get up for every game knowing you almost have no chance to make the playoffs. So I would expect a soft effort from the Canadiens. Which is just what the Edmonton Oilers want, an easy victory.
