Legendary India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Sunday took to social media to extend his Mother's Day wishes. As the world celebrates the special day on May 9, Tendulkar shared throwback photos of himself with his mother and aunt with a heartwarming note for them.
"Mothers are the ones who pray for you no matter how old you get. For them, you are always their child. Blessed to have two mothers in my life who have nurtured and loved me always," Tendulkar wrote.
"Wishing Aai and Kaku a Very Happy Mother's Day," he added.
Sachin Tendulkar has often spoken about the role his mother played in helping him achieve success in the sport. The batting great also has a special place in his heart for his aunt, with whom he spent close to four years of his school life.

Tendulkar even said it was his aunt who helped him develop a strong backfoot defense. In a video shared on his aunt's birthday from 2020, Tendulkar revealed how his aunt helped him with indoor training by throwing balls at him relentlessly during his school days.
Meanwhile, former India opener Virender Sehwag shared a heartfelt poem for his mom on Mother's Day.

West Indies batting superstar Chris Gayle also took to social media to extend his wishes. "Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful Mom’s out there. Have a lovely day," he wrote.
Former India batsman and Chennai Super Kings star shared photos of mother with their family and wished his 'biggest inspiration' on the special occassion.
