Sheffield Wednesday are "in talks" with AC Milan over the potential loan signing of goalkeeper Devis Vasquez. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says the Owls are interested in bringing the Colombian goalkeeper to Hillsborough.
The 25-year-old joined AC Milan from Club Guarani in Paraguay last January, penning a three-and-a-half-year deal. It was expected that Vasquez would challenge Ciprian Tatarusanu for the No 1 spot when Mike Maignan was sidelined by injury.
But Vasquez has failed to make a single appearance for AC Milan. He was called up to the Colombia national team for their friendly friendly matches against South Korea and Japan but he has yet to represent his country.
Wednesday are in the market for a new goalkeeper, with David Stockdale having departed the club following the end of the 2022/23 season.

Cameron Dawson is currently the only recognised goalkeeper on their books. As things stand, talented youngster Pierce Charles is second choice.
The Owls have been busy in the transfer market this week, bringing in Juan Delgado, Ashley Fletcher and Pol Valentin. After completing the signing of Spanish defender Valentin for an undisclosed fee from Sporting Gijon for an undisclosed fee, Wednesday chief Xisco Munoz said: “Pol is a very good talent, he’s a young guy, he’s one of the important players we now have in our squad.
“He has very good intensity. I know a lot about Pol, not only his capacity as a footballer but a personality as well and this is very good. This is important because I know exactly what he can give to the team. He was with me when he was very young with Gimnàstic and I know how he has progressed. I have followed his career and how he has been working in Spain.
“He is a good, young player who can do very good things for Sheffield Wednesday.”
