Hello and welcome to live coverage of Tottenham's Champions League showdown against Sporting CP.
Following back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, Antonio Conte and his Spurs team need to bounce back with three points in Europe's premier competition in order to get back on track after a difficult week.
Top of Group D with two games remaining, the Lilywhites will secure their place in the knockout phase of the competition if they beat their Portuguese opponents.
However, it won't be straightforward at all with Sporting winning the first game between the sides and also due to the fact that Ruben Amorim's team are also also in a good position to progress to the next stage of the competition.
Tottenham correspondent Rob Guest is covering the match with all the build-up and the action as it happens on the pitch from inside the stadium and reaction from the supporters and media.

Better from Spurs

Rob Guest's thoughts on the first half
Not a good first 45 minutes at all from Tottenham here in N17, with Sporting leading courtesy of Marcus Edwards' opener. Spurs didn't start too badly but once again they failed to create anything of the note in the final third, which has unfortunately continued all the way through to the half-time whistle.
Heads went down after the opener, as was the case against Newcastle United on Sunday, and there is a notable lack of energy and ideas on show from the Tottenham XI. Conte needs to deliver some big words at the break or else their Champions League aspirations will be going down to the final group game next week.
There needs to be a major improvement.
Goal disallowed
Coates has the ball in the back of the net but it is disallowed for handball.
The ex-Liverpool man receives a booking as a result.
Spurs chance
Son cuts inside after receiving the ball from Kane but Adan saves well low down.
GOAL

Great strike from the attacker to give Lloris no chance.
Over
Paulinho not far away at all as he lifts the ball over the crossbar from Porro's cross.
Offside
Spurs' front three link up well and it results in Lucas running through on goal, only for the goalkeeper to come out quickly and deny him.
Offside flag went up anyway.
Almost time
The teams have now emerged from the tunnel and are now out on the pitch.
Kick-off is a matter of moments away.
Tottenham loan latest
It was another mixed weekend for Tottenham's loanees.
With Sergio Reguilon receiving some good news on the injury front and Destiny Udogie making an impact, Harry Winks had to watch on from the sidelines once again.

Rob Guest's thoughts on the Tottenham team
Antonio Conte has sprung a bit of a surprise this evening by naming Lucas Moura in his starting XI for the very first time this season. The Brazilian is one of six changes to the team as Spurs look to get back to winning ways.
As well as the experienced winger coming into the side, Ben Davies, Matt Doherty and Ivan Perisic are also restored to the XI after dropping down to the bench vs Newcastle United. Having to make do without Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Cristian Romero in Sunday's 2-1 defeat, both are fit enough after their injuries to take their place in the team once again and they will have a key role to play for Tottenham.
Tinkering with his team for the European clash, Spurs also change formation and go with a 3-4-3 setup instead of the 3-5-2 used in the past couple of games. The introduction of an extra attacker should hopefully help Spurs ease their woes in the final third, as should Doherty getting the nod at right wing-back as he has demonstrated his attacking qualities there numerous times in the past.
It's a huge chance for Lucas to make his case to Conte as the ex-PSG man has not started a game this season. He will be raring to go after so long on the sidelines this term and fingers crossed he can help Tottenham to victory.
Performing well in their last Champions League home match, Spurs need a repeat tonight with a place in the knockout phase there for the taking.
