Wilder unleashed the most destructive force in boxing, and it accounted for a scintillating first-round knockout of Robert Helenius at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday night.
The victory was especially sweet considering it came just over a year since Wilder suffered his second straight knockout loss to Tyson Fury.
After Wilder and Helenius spent the first few moments trying to figure each other out, "The Bronze Bomber" caught his former sparring partner as he was coming in with a right hand, which landed flush to the face and dropped "The Nordic Nightmare" flat on his back for an instant knockout.
With the win, Wilder improves to 43-2-1 with 42 KOs.
"Who's next?" Wilder told Fox Sports live in the ring before saying he'd be interested in fighting unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
