Congrats are in order for Lala Kent, who's officially pregnant with her second baby and expanding her family on her terms. The Vanderpump Rules star announced the exciting news with a stunning black-and-white photo of her 2-year-old, Ocean, caressing her baby bump. "I'm expanding my pod," Lala wrote. The reality star welcomed her first child in 2021 with her ex-fiancé and film producer, Randall Emmett. The pair reportedly broke up that same year after he was accused of cheating, according to TMZ.

In January 2024, Lala exclusively told Cosmopolitan that she would be conceiving her second child through intrauterine insemination (IUI)—a fertility treatment where sperm is surgically placed in a uterus to facilitate fertilization.

The multihyphenate got candid about her decision in hopes of destigmatizing the procedure, saying, "When I had my life go in a very different direction, I knew I wanted more kids. It was such a strange thing that was happening because everyone would tell me, 'You're going to find somebody.' And I got to thinking, Why does my wanting more children need to involve another person? I think if there's a will, there's a way. I knew a donor was an option, and I knew IUI was an option."

She continued, "I felt this need to start talking about it because there are women out in the world who sit there and wait for a man to come into the picture and are just yearning for children even though there is another way to get pregnant. If you want children and are only waiting for 'that person' to come into your life, let's talk about a different route that we can take."

Lala also got real about the other side of the equation, or the men who choose to donate sperm for the procedure. "My whole thing with this process is that I want to take the stigma away from those getting a donor but also from men who donate. I feel like you think of a sperm donor and you’re like, Oh, they were hard up for cash," she explained. "I get emotional talking about it because this donor has changed my life. These men who come in and donate, whatever the reason, are giving these people the greatest gift."
