LOS ANGELES (TND) — Legendary actress, Kathy Bates, revealed she just wants her life back.
Bates revealed her retirement plan during an interview with The New York Timesabout her upcoming project.
The Oscar winner is ready to quit acting after filming "Matlock," which she called her "last dance."
The 76-year-old actress will play the role of Madeline Matlock in the reboot that's scheduled to debut September 22 on CBS.
Bates shared she was ready to leave the spotlight after an unnamed movie shoot left her sobbing on a sofa.
"It becomes my life, Bates told The New York Times. "Sometimes I get jealous of having this talent. Because I can't hold it back, and I just want my life."
In the 1990s Bates won a "best actress" Academy Award for her role in the horror thriller “Misery.”
Her longstanding career also includes her roles in "Titanic" and the romantic comedy, "A Family Affair."
