Here are the latest firmware versions and release notes for Chromecast and Google TV Streamer devices. You'll also find the steps on how to check the current firmware version and update the Google streaming devices.

Important: Firmware updates are done in stages. The production firmware versions listed are updated once the version is available to all devices.

Release notes

Check the firmware version of your streaming device

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware version: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If it's a display, check for Fuchsia Version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX."
