Drake Heats Up ‘For All The Dogs’ Drop, Reveals 23 Song Track List
After teasing his upcoming album For All the Dogs for months, Drake revealed the track list on Thursday, featuring 23 songs set against artwork made by his son Adonis.
The list includes new single, “8 AM in Charlotte,” which the rapper surprise dropped on social media along with a music video for the track on Wednesday night.
The video opens with Adonis showcasing a piece of his artwork, which he explains to Drake, who replies, “It’s almost like a little story.” The drawing includes a goat with “Daddy” written alongside it, leading Drake to ask if that’s him. “It’s Daddy Goat,” Adonis replies. “That makes perfect sense to me,” Drake says.
“Slime You Out,” a collab with SZA that rolled out in September, is also featured. Notably, the list has kept featuring artists hidden.
Drake previously revealed that For All the Dogs was on its way just hours after announcing he had co-written a poetry book, ‘Titles Ruin Everything,’ in June. “I made an album to go with the book,” he wrote at the time. “They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me. FOR ALL THE DOGS.”
The new album follows Her Loss, a collaborative LP between Drake and 21 Savage, as well as the rapper’s own Certified Lover Boy and Honestly, Nevermind.
Drake’s forthcoming LP, For All the Dogs, is expected to release Oct. 6. The album was originally set for release on Sept. 22, but the rapper announced he was pushing it back to focus on his tour.
“Okay my dilemma I am faced with is either cancel shows to finish the album or I complete the mission and drop the album before the last show,” Drake wrote in his message to fans. “I owe you all these memories we are building and anywhere we have missed to-date we will be spinning back for sure.
