For West Indies, Alazarri Joseph had best figures of 2 for 46 while left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein was the most economical, giving away only 14 runs in 4 overs with a wicket in his kitty. India scored 45 runs in their last three overs. The visiting side then restricted West Indies to 122 for 8 in 20 overs with Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh taking two wickets apiece. For West Indies, Shamarh Brooks top-scored with 20.

GONE!!! What an introduction for Bishnoi. That is what he can do. Powell tries to make room, did not get in the way of that googly and he's back in the hut in a jiffy. WI 82/5 after 11.1 overs.

On to the 5th over now and Ashwin is in to bowl this one. Very nice fielding from Iyer in the deep to save a boundary. Doesn't matter as Brooks hits a huge six!!! WI 42/2 after 5 overs.
Jadeja gets the wicket of Holder. That's a great delivery by Jadeja, gets a wicket in his very first over for India. Great captaincy by Rohit Sharma. WI are 27/2 after 3 overs.
Mayers hits a six against Arshdeep Singh. He again hits him for a boundary. But then Arshdeep Singh gets a breakthrough. He snaps up Mayers and Bhuvneshwar takes an easy catch. WI are 22/1 after 2 overs.
Mayers and Shamarh Brooks start the proceedings for West Indies. Bhuvneshwar bowls the first over for India. He conceds two boundaries in the first over. WI are 11/0 after 1 over.
Obed McCoy bowls the last over for West Indies. Karthik hits him for a six and a four respectively. He finishes off things with a boundary on the last ball. Ind are 190/6 after 20 overs.

In terms of sheer numbers, the Pant-Rohit opening pair didn't set the stage on fire against England but statistics often do not provide the bigger picture. The left-right combination has shown intent to dominate and with their kind of range could prove to be a nightmare for any opposition on a given day.
