The Memphis Grizzlies haven’t gotten off to a good start on their five-game trip out West. Two consecutive losses have the Grizzlies searching for that road warrior mentality from last season, and things won’t get much easier on Monday.

The Grizzlies (31-15) are on the road against the Sacramento Kings.

Memphis is 2-1 against the Kings (26-19) this season. One of those wins was a road contest at the Golden 1 Center.

Points shouldn’t be a problem in this matchup. The Kings lead the NBA in scoring, and the Grizzlies are fifth. The Grizzlies won the last meeting 118-108 on New Year’s Day.

As good as Sacramento is offensively their defensive weaknesses play right into the strength of the Grizzlies offense. The Grizzlies are the NBA’s top rebounding and paint scoring team. Sacramento ranks 25th in rebounding and 29th in blocks per game.

The star matchup of point guards Ja Morant and De’Aaron Fox is one of the most exciting duels of speedy playmakers in the NBA, but Kings center Domantas Sabonis going against Steven Adams will be a battle of the NBA’s top defensive and offensive rebounders.
