Putting Gemini to work in Chrome

This week, Google Chrome became even more helpful with the integration of new features built on Gemini 3. Major updates include the groundbreaking auto browse feature that handles complex, multi-step chores — like booking travel or scheduling appointments — entirely on your behalf. Plus, Chrome now provides the ability to use Nano Banana to transform images on the web. And a new side panel reimagines multitasking by keeping your favorite Google apps at your fingertips. This update transforms Chrome from a window to the web into a high-powered productivity partner.

Beyond the news

This week, our short animated film "Dear Upstairs Neighbors" previewed at the Sundance Film Festival. It’s the story of a young woman, Ada, who is desperate for a good night’s sleep but is kept awake by her exceedingly noisy neighbors. As she struggles to imagine what could be causing the cacophony upstairs, reality drifts into fantasy, and an epic battle for peace and sanity ensues. Now we’re taking you inside the story of the collaboration between the animators and Google DeepMind researchers, who came together to explore how generative tools could support the artists' creative processes.

Messy white brushstroke title text, 'DEAR UPSTAIRS NEIGHBORS,' with color fringing, over splattered black background.
